Who is responsible for your data

What I collect, and why:

If you download the free page "Movement or Interest"

I collect your email address, and your first name if you give it. The name field is optional.

I use it to send you the page you asked for, and to email you occasionally about the same subject: how investor decisions move, and what founders can read from their own conversations.

You can unsubscribe from any email, and I will not email you again.

Legal basis: your consent, given when you submit the form.

If you buy the Decision Movement Scorecard

I collect your email address, your name, and the billing details needed to complete the purchase.

Card details go directly to Stripe. They are never stored by me and never visible to me.

I use this to deliver the product, to keep a record of the sale as Danish bookkeeping law requires, and to send you three emails over the following three and a half weeks about using the cards.

Legal basis: performance of a contract, and my legal obligation to keep accounting records.

If you book a call or join Capital Connect

I collect what you tell me: your name, email, company, what you are raising, and what has happened in your investor conversations.

During the programme this includes notes, materials and recordings you choose to share with me.

I use it to do the work you are paying for.

When you visit the site

Your IP address, browser, device type and the pages you visit are processed by the platform this site runs on. The Cookie Policy explains what is set and when.

Legal basis: legitimate interest for what is strictly necessary to run the site, and your consent for anything beyond that.

What I do not collect

I do not ask for, and do not want:

payment card numbers

health data

confidential scientific data, unpublished results, or intellectual property you have not decided to share

information about third parties who have not been told

If you are about to send me something confidential, tell me first and we will agree how to handle it.

Who else sees your data

I use a small number of services to run this. Each one receives only what it needs.

HighLevel hosts these pages, stores contacts and sends the emails. United States.

Stripe processes payments. United States and Ireland.

Both are outside the EU. These transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

I do not sell your data. I do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long I keep it

Your email, if you only downloaded the free page: until you unsubscribe, or after two years without you opening anything.

Customer and client records: five years from the end of the financial year the material relates to, as Danish bookkeeping law requires.

Notes, materials and recordings from Capital Connect: twelve months after the programme ends, then deleted. Earlier if you ask.

Call booking details for calls that did not take place: twelve months.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

ask what data I hold about you, and receive a copy

have it corrected if it is wrong

have it deleted

restrict or object to how I use it

receive it in a portable format

withdraw your consent at any time, including by clicking unsubscribe in any email

Email me and I will respond within one month. There is no charge.

If you believe I have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, at datatilsynet.dk.

Changes:

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects how I use data you have already given me, I will email you about it rather than leaving you to find it here.
